Kenfig pool, with Martyn.

                                             Grapholita jungiella.
                                             Also many Swallow and Sand martin over the pool,
                                             a few House martin and a Swift too. In the north bushes
                                             a Lesser whitethroat and a Grass snake.

Whilst out checking my nest boxes this afternoon i stumbled across this chiffchaff nest that is almost complete, the birds were carrying feather's for lining the nest

Mynydd ty talwyn

                                  Greater black back gull, there were 3 of these huge Gulls
                                  feeding on a sheep carcass today along with 2 Buzzard, a
                                  Raven and a Rook. 2 male Wheatear were on the big
                                  dungheap and a Crossbill was over the pines. A few swallows
                                  were back on the surrounding farms too.

A pleasant hours stroll with the dogs around the site of the old washeries produced; lots of singing willow warblers, a few singing chiff chaff, greenfinch, common buzzard, song thrush, skylark, meadow pipit, linnet, great tit, robin, dunnock, great views of carrion crow sitting on nest, herring gull, grey wagtail, swallow, bullfinch, wren and dipper near Iron Bridge.

Many warblers singing despite the rain, willow warbler 16, chiffchaff 8, blackcap 14, raven1, skylark 2, m pipit 2, redstart 1, and a surprise 1 snipe flying over the wood just behind ffos farm, no sign of wheatear, or stonechat on garth hill.

a walk around the upper llynfi valley this am. highlights being a singing grasshopper warbler, 2 tree pipits, 6+ willow warblers plenty of chiffchaffs and a great spotted woodpecker drumming on a dead pine tree

Teal 9,(3m+6f), chiffchaff 13, stonechat 2 (m), skylark 8, redpoll 4, willow warbler 1, jay 2, cormarant 1, blackcap 6, green woodpecker 1, lbb gull 2, ducks on the ponds were, coot, tufted,mallard, moorhen, and dabchick.
