A walk around Kenfig marshes

Other birds of note were spotted flycatcher, 3+1 sparrowhawk, 2+1 kestrel, 4+1 buzzard, kingfisher, 2 cetti's warbler, 1 sedge warbler, linnet, goldfinch, lapwing, 5 sanderling, 5 stonechat, chiffchaff, willow warbler, 2 little grebe on small pond on top of british steel, swallow, sand and house martin, coot, moorhen, mallard, mute swan, skylark, meadow pipit, 3 heron.

Ffos farm

                              Quiet on the pool, only 10 Coot and 2 flighty Common sandpipers.

Washeries

An hour walking the dogs around the reclaimed washeries site produced; goldfinch, meadow pipit, skylark, linnet, herring gull, lbb gull, greenfinch, a female redstart working its way along the alder growing adjacent to the stream, meadow brown, a wasp nest on steps oppostie the old Colliers pub and dipper on main river near the Iron Bridge.
