Maesteg Urban Birding
A damp and misty morning whilst walking my dogs on their regular 4 mile route around Maesteg produced, singing dippers at Ewenny Road, Ann's Enterprise's and Maesteg Welfare Park, the Welfare park bird being a first at this site for me, sighted 20mtrs downstream of the site of the new bridge, treecreeper and a pair of mistle thrush also at the park. 3 rooks at site of old Blaenllynfi but none at Garn Road. Highlight of the walk was a male sparrowhawk that swooped onto a bird table on Heol Ty Gwyn. I didn't see it make a kill.
