Garnwen

A walk along the forestry track checking out the dandelion for some hoverflies species and was rewarded with a few Chrysotoxum arcuatum 4 in total also had my first Sericomyia silentis of the year followed by my first Leucozona lucorum of the year. But the best was saved for last a first for the valley and i think Glamorgan which has been agreed by some experts but not fully by Roger morris but he seems to think its good for Parasyrphus malinellus he's not back until monday to get the confimation that i need so fingers crossed. Also cuckoo calling sedge and grasshopper singing along with 2 pairs of crossbill in conifers
